Making Work Work: Reasonable Adjustments in Practice
July 22 @ 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM AEST
Free - $20.00VIC Melbourne Metro Network
Reasonable adjustments are often spoken about as a compliance requirement, but leading practice asks a deeper question: how do we create workplaces where people are set up to succeed from the beginning?
This AHRI Victoria DEI online event will explore what reasonable adjustments are, what they are not, and how organisations can approach them with clarity, confidence and care.
With speakers from NDIS, including Grace Burns, Ryan Malonda and Is Connell, the discussion will unpack practical examples, common challenges and emerging approaches to workplace adjustments. We will explore how to identify inherent requirements, how to assess what is reasonable, when organisations may need to say no, and how infrastructure, communication and innovation can make adjustments more sustainable.
This session is designed for HR, DEI, people leaders and workplace practitioners who want to move beyond reactive accommodation and build more inclusive systems that support neurodivergent and disabled employees to thrive.
Target Audience
HR and DEI professionals, people leaders, and workplace practitioners looking to build more inclusive systems that support neurodivergent and disabled employees.
