Sarah McCann-Bartlett

Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director

Sarah McCann-Bartlett is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Australian HR Institute. She has extensive, global experience in membership and trade bodies and has held senior roles across a variety of sectors in Australia, the UK and the USA.

Previously, Sarah held a number of senior executive positions at the Victorian Building and Plumbing Industry Commissions, including as Deputy Commissioner. She helped lead the Commissions’ response to the February 2009 bushfires, and developed and implemented a shared Corporate Services model between both Commissions, including developing and leading strategies to drive the change process.

Sarah has also held roles representing and supporting the Australian wool industry with the Australian Wool Corporation and its successor The Woolmark Company in Melbourne, the UK and New York where she held the role of President and Group Manager, Americas.

Sarah holds Commerce and Arts degrees from the University of Melbourne, an MBA from Monash University, and postgraduate qualifications in marketing. She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Sarah lives in Melbourne with her husband and 12-year-old son, and their three dogs.

Michael Iudica FCPA

CFO and Company Secretary

Michael manages AHRI’s transaction processing, accounting, reporting, risk management and regulatory compliance, and is also the company secretary.

Julia Whitford MAHRI

Chief Operations Officer

Julia’s background includes more than 20 years’ experience in membership based organisations, primarily in the not-for-profit sector. She previously held the position of General Manager, Strategy & Operations and has been with AHRI since 2009. 

Julia works collaboratively with the executive team to build and execute the business strategy, supports the elected volunteers including the Council of State Presidents, and oversees Member & Student Support, Member & Industry Engagement, Marketing & Communications, and CPD Events teams.

Julia holds an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business.

Rosemary Guyatt FCPHR

General Manager,  People and Culture

Rosemary joined the Australian HR Institute in 2016 as HR Manager and is currently the General Manager, People and Culture.

Rosemary’s HR career has spanned over 25 years in Australian and global organisations in both generalist human resource management and specialist roles in the retail, technology and recruitment sectors. She has a strong interest in career development and enjoys mentoring and coaching.

Rosemary’s holds a BA (Hons) from University of Sydney and a Masters of Social Science (Career Development) from RMIT.

Alex Reynolds MAHRI

General Manager, Membership and Digital Strategy

With an extensive career in operations, education and membership across private and not-for-profit sectors, Alex has an unrelenting commitment to drive continuous improvement, innovation and member experience across an organisation.

As part of AHRI’s executive team, Alex leads the organisation’s transformation strategy. With a focus on wholistic organisational growth, this encompasses technology solutions and evolution, change management, process improvement and cultural shift to an agile and customer-centric organisation.

She also leads the delivery of the organisation’s IT operations with a focus on improving business processes to ensure optimal member experiences and business outcomes.
