Marian Baird is Professor of Employment Relations, Director of the Women and Work Research Group at the University of Sydney Business School and a longtime AHRI member.
She is one of Australia’s leading researchers in the fields of women, work and family and in 2013 was named a Financial Review and Westpac ‘Woman of Influence’ and the most influential woman in the Public Policy Category.
She has received Australian Research Council, federal and state government grants to study parental leave, women and leadership, flexibility for working parents and gender equitable organisational change.
Baird serves on a number of government advisory panels and is currently working with the Human Rights Commission on the prevalence, nature and impact of age discrimination.
