Convention terms and conditions

All prices are inclusive of GST.

Behaviour: AHRI reserves the right to prohibit entry of any person to an AHRI event, or eject any person from an AHRI event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by AHRI staff and/or its agents and others working under its authority.

Canvassing by delegates is strictly prohibited at AHRI events and forums. Promotional materials may not be distributed at the event/forum except by event sponsors. Delegates violating this policy will be asked to leave the event and AHRI members may have their membership revoked.

Cancellation policy: Cancellations must be received in writing before Monday 8 August. An administration fee of $150 will apply for all cancellations made before this date and no refunds will be given after this date.

Image release: In registering for AHRI events and conferences, delegates grant permission to AHRI, its agents and others working under its authority, to take and to have full and free use of video/photographs containing their image/ likeness. It is understood these images may be used for promotional, news, online/ multimedia, research and/or educational purposes by and for AHRI. Delegates agree that they are not entitled to remuneration, residuals, royalties or any other payment from AHRI in respect of their image/likeness or its use. Delegates release, discharge, and hold harmless, AHRI and its agents from any and all claims, demands or causes of actions that they may hereafter have by reason of anything contained in the photographs or video. Should a delegate not agree to the above image release, they must advise AHRI by contacting 1800 811 880 or [email protected].

Payment: Full payment via credit card will be required to confirm your registration. Anyone that has not received a confirmation email will not be on the event attendance list and may not be admitted to the event. Privacy notice: AHRI is concerned with the protection of your privacy. We support the privacy principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), as amended. AHRI collects and stores your personal information for the purposes of providing membership services, education and training programs. Here is how your data may be used:

Communication from AHRI: AHRI may use your details to promote products and services in the form of email communications and/or other types of communication. Email [email protected] if you would prefer not to receive communications from AHRI.

For the purposes of the event: Your details will be provided to parties directly related to the conference including the venue and accommodation providers for the purpose of room bookings, catering needs and other conference options.

Communication from third parties: Event sponsors and exhibitors may be provided with delegate details following the event. There is an ‘opt out’ option on the registration form should you not wish for your details to be shared with the event sponsors and exhibitors. Alternatively contact [email protected] to opt out. Program: AHRI reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard.

Registration notice: AHRI member registration rates are not transferable to non-AHRI members. By selecting a member registration rate, it is agreed that the registrant is a current financial member of AHRI and that the registration is made in the AHRI member’s name only. A breach of this may result in a cancellation of an event registration and/or AHRI membership. To be eligible for the early bird discounted registration rate, registration and payment must be received by Friday 30 June 2022. Registration and payment: Registrations received after the registration closing date (Wednesday 10 August) may incur a late fee. Payment in full is required to gain entry to the Convention.

Sharing registrations: One registration may not be used or shared by several individuals. 

Substitutions: Should a registrant be unable to attend, they may send one substitute in their place. AHRI must be notified of all substitutions prior to the event. Refer to ‘Registration notice’ above.

List of participants: Details may be available to parties directly related to the convention including AHRI, venues and accommodation providers (For the purpose of room bookings, special catering and physical requirements, name tag creation and convention purposes). Sponsors and exhibitors will be supplied with the full name, title, organisation, state and email addresses of those delegates who do not ‘opt out’ as above.

Premium exhibition visitor registration: Premium Visitor registration provides access to the Official Opening and Keynote plus the Welcome Reception on Monday 15 August and to the exhibition hall from 16-17 August. Pre-registration and payment via credit card is required. Premium Visitors are not permitted entry into the Convention main program conference sessions to be held in the Convention Centre from 15-17 August; including Masterclasses and the Public Sector HR Conference.

Promotional offers and discounted registrations: Any promotional offers are exclusive and are non-transferable. Delegates are entitled to one discount per person. 

Special dietary/physical requirements: Special dietary/physical requirements will be catered for if requested before the event registration closing date of Monday 8 August. Please indicate any special requirements on your registration form or contact  [email protected] or call: 1800 811 880 with your specifications. Special requests on the day cannot be guaranteed.

Intellectual property: Some speakers have kindly agreed to share their presentation slides and webcasts with delegates only. This content is not intended for wider distribution – sharing, broadcasting and/or copying of this content is not permitted according to Australia’s intellectual property laws. Please be respectful of these speakers’ intellectual property so that we can continue to offer similar content in future events.

Exhibition Visitor terms and conditions

  • Access:  Exhibition visitors are not permitted entry into the National Convention sessions held in the Convention Centre from 15-17 August; including Masterclasses, the Public Sector HR Conference, and the Official Opening and Keynote – with the exception for Premium Visitor registrants who may access the Official Opening and Keynote on Monday 15 August only.
  • Catering: On Tuesday 16 and Wednesday 17 August, exhibition visitors are not catered for and are requested to not eat/drink from the catering stations located within the exhibition hall. Catering is available for registered main program delegates only.
  • Disclaimer: AHRI reserves the right to make changes to the Exhibition Seminar program at any time as circumstances dictate. Every effort will be made to ensure a session of equivalent standard should unavoidable changes occur.
