WA Book Club Network 

We’re kicking off 2027 with The 100-Year Life: Living and Working in an Age of Longevity by Lynda Gratton and Andrew Scott, our pick for your summer holiday reading list.

As life expectancy increases, the traditional three-stage life of education, work and retirement is giving way to longer and more varied lives with multiple stages. Gratton and Scott explore what this means for how we plan careers, build skills, manage our finances and look after our health and relationships across a much longer working life.

For HR and people professionals, the book raises practical questions about career pathways, reskilling, flexible work, career breaks and supporting a workforce that spans more generations than ever before. We’ll talk about what longer working lives mean for our organisations, our people and ourselves.

Whether you’ve read every page over summer or are just keen to hear the discussion, we’d love to have you join us for an hour of good conversation, nibbles and connection with others in the WA HR community.

Target Audience  

HR and people professionals at all career stages, including HR generalists and specialists in learning and development and organisational development. Leaders and managers, and anyone with an interest in HR, leadership and organisational psychology literature, are also welcome. Open to AHRI members and non-members.

Speaker: Tara Roopra

Tara is a Director at Talenting, a Perth HR consultancy, where she leads organisational review and change work and advises clients on HR partnering and workplace relations.

Speaker: Dawna Sanderson

Dawna is a Performance and Capability Specialist at Good start Early Learning and has spent more than 20 years in leadership and learning and development, including roles at Bunnings WA and The Body Shop Asia Pacific.
