The Year in Employment Law: What HR Professionals Need to Know

November 5 @ 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM AEST

Free - $20.00

QLD ER/IR Network

Following significant legislative reform in 2025 and evolving workforce expectations, over the past year organisations have been challenged to rethink how they manage their people, their culture and their compliance. Keeping pace with these rapid developments is an essential but often difficult task for busy HR professionals.

This in-person breakfast briefing presented by Lander & Rogers Partners Annika Anderson-Carter and Shannon Chapman will recap the key legal developments, emerging risks and practical lessons from the past year.

This practical session will cover:

  • The rise and current state of play of psychosocial safety regulation;

  • The increasing use of AI by employees in disputes;

  • Recent trends in dismissal-related legal claims; and

  • The proposed changes to laws regulating post-employment restraints and what employers should do now to prepare.

Coffee and light breakfast will be served from 7.30am, with the session beginning promptly at 8.00am.
