Human Skills in an AI World: What HR Needs Next
November 12 @ 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM AEST
Free - $20.00QLD Gold Coast Network
An interactive presentation by AHRI Gold Coast and Humaneer.
AI is already changing the work of HR. Some tasks will become faster, some will be supported by AI, and others may disappear altogether.
So what does that mean for your role, your skills and your future in HR?
Drawing on research across 100 HR roles and more than 1,800 tasks, this interactive session will explore how AI is reshaping HR work, and the human capabilities that will become more valuable as routine and transactional work increasingly shifts to technology.
During the evening, you’ll explore:
* How AI is likely to change the tasks you perform in your own role
* Which of your existing skills may become even more valuable
* Where you may need to build new capabilities
* The seven capabilities HR professionals will need to remain relevant and influential
* How to make deliberate choices about your own development and career
This isn’t about learning the latest AI tools. It’s about understanding what AI means for you as an HR professional, and making sure you’re building the capabilities that will matter next.
You’ll leave with a clearer picture of how your role may evolve, the strengths you can build on and where to focus your development.
Kimberly will also draw on her recent work developing AI specifically for HR to share practical insights into where AI can genuinely support People professionals, and where human judgement, influence and capability still matter most.
Target Audience
HR and People professionals at all career stages who want to understand how AI is changing their work, which human capabilities will become more valuable, and where to focus their development to stay relevant and influential.
Speaker: Kimberly Burns
Kimberly has more than 20 years’ experience across HR, people and organisational transformation and is the co-founder of Humaneer, Mak and the Hi AI Institute.
Her work now sits at the intersection of people, AI and the changing world of work, with a particular focus on how AI is reshaping roles, the capabilities people will need in the future, and how organisations can successfully embed AI into the way work gets done.
Drawing on her background in senior HR roles, organisational change, leadership, capability and workforce strategy, Kimberly brings a practical, people-centred perspective to one of the biggest shifts facing the HR profession.
