2026 has certainly kept HR professionals busy!

As we wrap up the year, it’s remarkable just how much the world of work continues to evolve. Across Australia, HR professionals have been navigating legislative change, increased focus on gender equality and workplace flexibility, expanded parental leave, and the ongoing preparations for Payday Super. At the same time, organisations have been exploring how to harness AI responsibly, strengthen workforce capability, and attract, develop and retain talent in an increasingly complex environment.

Here in the ACT, conversations have continued around workforce capability, leadership, wellbeing, and building a future-ready workforce across both the public and private sectors.

As the year draws to a close, we invite you to join us for a relaxed and festive opportunity to connect with colleagues and peers from across the Canberra HR community. Let’s reflect on the year that was, celebrate successes, share experiences, and strengthen the relationships that make our profession so valuable.
