Biography

Ben Ikin is the CEO of the Queensland Rugby League. His professional rugby league career began in 1995 with the Gold Coast Seagulls, making history as the youngest player to represent Queensland in State of Origin at 18. He also played for the North Sydney Bears and Brisbane Broncos, winning a Premiership in 2000.  

After retiring in 2004, Ben worked in media and administrative roles, including the Nine Network and Fox Sports, and served on various boards. In 2021, he joined the Brisbane Broncos as Head of Football Operations. As CEO of the QRL, Ben aims to keep rugby league as the top sport in Queensland. He is married to Beth and they have four children.
