Professor Maryam Omari has been Executive Dean of the Schoole of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University since 2016. She is President of the AUstralian Business Deans’ Council and a member of AHRI’s Future of Work Advisory Panel.
With over 17 years of HR experience prior to academia, Maryam brings deep industry insights to her work. She holds a PhD and has taught Human Resource Management, International Business and Management, with global experience across the Middle East, UK and USA.

Tim Abrahams is the Chief People Officer and General Manager, Organisational Development at the Bureau of Meteorology. With 18 years experience across the Australian Public Service leading HR, public policy and legislative reform, he brings a practical, people-focused lens to leadership and culture in complex, operational and policy environments.
Tim is an active contributor to the HR profession, serving as an AHRI ACT State Councillor and a member of the AHRI Public Service Advisory Group.

Sarah McCann-Bartlett is the CEO and Managing Director of the Australian HR Institute (AHRI). She is an experienced leader of professional and trade bodies, with senior executive experience across Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Prior to joining AHRI, Sarah held leadership positions including Director General of the British Constructional Steelwork Association and Deputy Commissioner of the Victorian Building and Plumbing Commissions. SHe holds degrees from the University of Melbourne and Monash University, along with post graduate marketing qualifications and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
