Certification Assessment Process

Becoming Certified involves a series of assessment stages, each of which must be completed to inform Certification endorsement. 

1. Questions – Answer a series of multiple-choice questions across the capabilities, skill and knowledge areas within the Australian HR Capability Framework (AHRCF). 

2. Scenario – Prepare a comprehensive response to hypothetical scenarios provided to you by AHRI, to demonstrate your capability in addressing complex business and HR situations.

3. Professional Discussion – Attend a professional discussion with a CPHR assessor to discuss your HR experience and evaluate your capability across the AHRCF.

4. National Certification Council (NCC) – The AHRI assessor will make a recommendation to the NCC. The NCC review all certification recommendations and endorse successful HR practitioners as AHRI Certified Practitioners (CPHR).

Other Course Information

• The assessment is on-demand and assessments are issued within four (4) working days

• Participants must complete Stage 1 within four (4) week of access being granted

• Participants will then have three (3) weeks to respond to Stage 2 (Case Study/Workplace Project submission)

• Participants must attend a 60-minute live virtual professional discussion session with an AHRI CPHR assessor

• You will obtain 10 CPD points for completing this course 

Registration Declaration

By registering and purchasing the Certification Assessment you confirm that you meet the following eligibility criteria: 

• Professional MAHRI membership or higher.

• 5+ years’ experience in a strategic HR leadership role, and

• Completed a formal qualification (degree or postgraduate diploma AQF7 or higher). 

OR 

• Professional MAHRI membership or higher.

• More than two years’ experience in a strategic HR role, and

• Completed all HR Certification Program Micro-Credentials. 

AHRI reviews eligibility criteria and, if without AHRI prior approval, an individual does not meet the requirements, Certification level status may not be granted and payments made will not be refundable.

• Registrations are open year-round, with on-demand delivery. Assessments are assigned within4 business days.

• Withdrawals are refundable, minus administration fees, within 48 hours if assessment has not been assigned. 

• The program fees published are subject to change 

• AHRI membership is non-refundable
