Course Overview
Are you working on or about to launch a capability project and want to be ready? This course provides a step-by-step approach to clearly define the aims of your capability framework. This course delves into research strategies to identify effective industry practice and focuses heavily on the practical application, guiding you in drafting, refining, and finalising a framework that’s both effective and easy to use.
By the end of the course, you’ll be equipped with how to design and build a capability framework, as well as the process to communicate the benefits of the framework to your team and integrate it into your HR processes seamlessly.
Meet your facilitator
Ben Satchwell
Ben is Head of Capabilities at Acorn, where he designs capability-led systems that bring humanity back into performance, learning, and workforce decision-making.
His work spans both Acorn’s internal capability implementation and complex client delivery. Internally, he owns how Acorn’s capability approach is embedded into product and delivery for Acorn’s people. Externally, he leads the design and implementation of capability ecosystems across some of Australia’s most complex organisations, connecting what people can do, what they want to do, and what organisations need them to do.
Ben brings senior leadership experience from CEB (now Gartner), LiveHire, and as Managing Director ANZ at the Public Sector Network. He also facilitates with the Australian HR Institute and is a regular contributor to Training Journal.
He’s driven by a simple belief: better capability design makes better workplaces. And better workplaces make better lives.
