Evidence-Based Workforce Decision Making: Turning Data into Workforce Insights
December 3 @ 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM AEDT
Free - $20.00ACT State Council Network
HR leaders have access to more workforce data than ever before, but data alone doesn’t drive better decisions. The real opportunity lies in combining fragmented data, providing context, and workforce insight to create evidence that informs action.
As people analytics, strategic workforce planning and AI continue to evolve, HR practitioners are increasingly being called upon to challenge assumptions, test hypotheses, and provide leaders with evidence that supports better workforce decisions.
In this practical and thought-provoking session, Cathy Weeden and Jaye Matheson will explore how organisations can move beyond reporting and towards evidence-based workforce decision making. Drawing on experience across multiple organisations and industries, they will share lessons learned, common challenges and practical approaches for turning workforce data into meaningful insights.
Using Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation’s people analytics journey as one case study where they brought together multiple data sources, addressed data integrity issues and created a more connected view of their workforce, alongside broader industry examples, the session will demonstrate how workforce data can become a strategic asset that supports planning, prioritisation and executive decision-making.
In this session, we will explore:
-
Evidence-based workforce decision-making:What good workforce decisions look like, considering data, your unique context and organisational priorities.
-
From reporting to insight: Moving beyond workforce metrics to generate actionable insights that influence business and workforce decisions and outcomes.
-
People analytics and workforce planning: Connecting analytics, workforce planning and business strategy to support organisational needs, now and into the future.
