Dear AHRI SA members,

Welcome to the latest update from the AHRI SA State Council.

Congratulations to our newly HR Certified practitioners from the last quarter!

Empowering delegates to ROAR at AHRI's National Convention & Exhibition 2026

Earlier this month, more than 1,700 HR professionals, valued partners, sponsors, speakers and volunteers gathered in Brisbane for three days of learning, connecting and inspiration at AHRI’s National Convention & Exhibition 2026. We were pleased to see 50 delegates from SA attend the event.

Centred around the theme ‘I Am HR, Hear Me ROAR‘ this year’s Convention challenged delegates to boldly step forward in their role as strategic players, challenge the status quo and return to their workplaces equipped with practical insights and actionable strategies to drive impact.

At Convention, AHRI also announced a new product, the HR Team Capability Assessment, set to launch in September 2026. Designed to support HR leaders in building high-performing teams, the assessment enables organisations to benchmark team capability against the Australian HR profession, helping leaders prioritise development efforts and build capability where it matters most.

IHRD & Volunteer of the Year winner

International HR Day was celebrated on 20 May, and it was wonderful to see so many of you join our events to mark the occasion. It also gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate and congratulate Michelle Holland CAHRI on being named the 2025 Volunteer of the Year in SA.

AHRI SA Conference 2026

I encourage you to join us on 27-28 October for the AHRI SA Conference 2026, The Work Ahead: HR leading what’s next. As AI, workforce transformation, psychosocial risk and industrial relations reform continue to reshape our workplaces, HR professionals have a critical role to play in leading through change. This year’s conference brings together South Australia’s HR community to explore practical strategies, fresh perspectives and emerging trends that will help you build capability, navigate complexity and shape what’s next for your people, workplace and organisation.
