AHRI NT
State President Quarterly Message
Q3 2026 Message
Dear AHRI NT members,
Welcome to the latest update from the AHRI NT State Council.
Congratulations to our newly certified HR practitioners from the last quarter!
After a bumper month of events in July, the NT State Council has turned its focus to the final preparations for what promises to be another outstanding State Conference.
Empowering delegates to ROAR at AHRI's National Convention & Exhibition 2026
Earlier this month, more than 1,700 HR professionals, valued partners, sponsors, speakers and volunteers gathered in Brisbane for three days of learning, connecting and inspiration at AHRI’s National Convention & Exhibition 2026. We were pleased to see 28 delegates from NT attend the event.
Centred around the theme ‘I Am HR, Hear Me ROAR‘ this year’s Convention challenged delegates to boldly step forward in their role as strategic players, challenge the status quo and return to their workplaces equipped with practical insights and actionable strategies to drive impact.
At Convention, AHRI also announced a new product, the HR Team Capability Assessment, set to launch in September 2026. Designed to support HR leaders in building high-performing teams, the assessment enables organisations to benchmark team capability against the Australian HR profession, helping leaders prioritise development efforts and build capability where it matters most.
IHRD & Volunteer of the Year winner
International HR Day was celebrated on 20 May, and it was wonderful to see so many of you join our events to mark the occasion. It also gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate and congratulate Pauline Tisell MAHRI on being named the 2025 Volunteer of the Year in NT.
AHRI NT Conference 2026
Get ready for the AHRI NT Conference 2026.
Join us on 9 September in Darwin for the AHRI NT Conference 2026: Human-centred HR for sustainable futures.
HR professionals in the Northern Territory operate in uniquely complex environments shaped by workforce mobility, geographic isolation and evolving workplace expectations. This year’s conference will explore sustainable leadership, modern workforce challenges and the capabilities needed to build impactful HR careers. Through a practical and engaging program, attendees will gain fresh perspectives, actionable insights and the confidence to lead through change while keeping people at the centre of organisational success.
The conference is also a valuable opportunity to connect with HR professionals from across the Territory, share experiences and build professional relationships. I encourage you to join us and be part of the conversation shaping the future of HR in the Northern Territory.
Registrations close on the 2 September.
Thank you for your continued support of AHRI and the HR profession.
