Fiona Michel FCPHR

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AHRI CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, BRAEMAR HOSPITAL

Fiona Michel has public and private sector experience within the technology, banking, insurance, health, property, primary industry and utility sectors as an executive, director and consultant in New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and Asia.

Fiona has transitioned from nearly two decades as a Chief People Officer to the role of Chief Executive at one of New Zealand’s leading private surgical hospitals.  She was a finalist in the Women of Influence awards in 2021 for her work on New Zealand’s COVID-19 Vaccination and Immunisation Programme.  During Fiona’s HR career she led significant health and safety and legislative workplace compliance in high risk and highly regulated private, public and listed organisations, and has won awards in both New Zealand and Australia for achievement in HR, leadership, culture transformation and industrial relationships.

Fiona is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, has a Masters of Business Administration, is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Chartered Fellow of AHRI and CIPD.
