Biography

Chris joined the NSW Public Service Commission in October 2020 after previous senior leadership roles in People and Culture, Talent and Organisation Development for Lendlease, American Express and Westpac across Australia, Asia and Europe. His current role provides leadership in organisational change, talent management, leadership development and equity and inclusion for more than 435,000 employees in the NSW public sector.      

Chris has had a long association with AHRI serving for many years on the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Panel and, more recently, on the Public Sector Advisory Panel and the Future of Work Advisory Panel.  

In 2021 Chris was appointed Deputy Chair of Diversity Council Australia, having previously served on DCA’s board from 2010 – 2019. Chris is also a Non-Executive Director of Netball NSW. He was a founding member of Pride in Diversity – Australia’s not-for-profit employer support program for LGBTQ workplace inclusion – and served on their Advisory Board from 2010 – 2022. In 2015 Chris received AHRI’s Diversity Champion Award and in 2018 he completed further postgraduate education in Aboriginal Studies.   

Chris is also a Psychotherapist and Counsellor. He sees clients in private practice in the evenings to play his part in increasing access to mental health support services in Australia.
