FAQ for current members

What is AHRI doing to support members during COVID-19?

The COVID-19 crisis has left many organisations looking to their HR professionals for guidance and assistance. As the professional body for HR professionals in Australia, we are the go-to resource and guidance centre for HR, and have been releasing regular communications, factsheets, webinars and Q&As to help our members respond to COVID-19 effectively and in a timely manner.

We're constantly updating our COVID-19 Resource Hub where we share all of this information.

We've also continued to offer our Members professional development and learning opportunities during these times by switching our Network Forums and short courses to virtual workshops, wholly online.

I am a CAHRI member. How can I renew or upgrade my membership?

As of 1 January 2018 AHRI will no longer be admitting new, lapsed, rejoining or upgrading applicants to the CAHRI membership level. If you have a current CAHRI membership, you will be able to retain this level of AHRI membership in perpetuity, as long as your membership remains current into the future and you continue to meet your CPD obligations.

I would like to cancel my membership – how do I do this?

If you have decided to cancel your membership (as opposed to suspending your membership) please email enquiries@ahri.com.au. In your email we would appreciate any feedback you might have, including the reason you have decided to cancel your membership.

If you would like to retain your membership until the end of your current membership period please don't email us until you have received your renewal notice.

Can I share my login details with a friend or colleague?

Your login details are only for your own personal use and should never be shared. Your personal information (including your home address, email address and date of birth) is visible to anyone using your login details, as is your CPD record. Please log out of your AHRI profile before you register another person for an event or course.

Can I suspend my membership?

Yes. Your membership can be suspended on a yearly basis for up to two years. You will receive a renewal notice at the end of your first year suspension period, but you may contact us at any time in the interim to reactivate your membership. Suspending your membership is a suitable option if you are travelling, on extended leave or experiencing financial difficulty; you can easily reactivate your membership and still retain continuous membership status (and therefore be eligible to receive benefits under AHRI's member loyalty program).

Can I keep my membership while I'm on parental leave?
