The Tipping Foundation (TTF) provides a range of services across Victoria for people with a disability. To attract and retain a workforce in a competitive and dynamic disability sector, TTF implemented a workforce strategy to significantly improve employment conditions.

Jantine Eddelbuttel and her team developed and implemented cost mitigation strategies including an organisational review to deliver the financial savings required to fund improved employment conditions. As TTF’s then HR general manager, Janine also led the EBA negotiations and implementation.

“Designing and implementing a workforce strategy in a rapidly changing sector proved challenging and required both a deep understanding of business drivers and strong stakeholder engagement,” says Jantine.

Under the new EBA, employment conditions improved for 1,000 staff by $3.6m per annum, staff turnover was reduced and employment stability improved, which was a great outcome for clients and staff.
