Dr Leigh-Ann Onnis is a Senior Lecturer at James Cook University’s College of Business, Law, and Governance. Beginning her career in Human Resources in Melbourne during the early 1990s, Leigh-Ann has accumulated experience across various industries including education, health, retail, and water. 

After more than 15 years as a human resource, Leigh-Ann moved to Northern Australia where she has worked as an academic for more than ten years. She has dedicated herself to research in workforce sustainability, human resource management, psychosocial safety at work, and wellbeing. Driven by a passion for research that creates positive societal impact, Leigh-Ann’s work focuses on advancing knowledge in these critical areas.
