Commissioner Riordan embarked on his professional journey as an Electrician and joined the ETU in 1988. His dedication led him to serve as the Secretary of the ETC from 1988-2012. During this time, he also held significant roles, serving as the Director of EISS Super from 1998-2012, and Chairman of Chifley Financial Services from 2000-2010. Recognised for his expertise and contributions, Commissioner Riordan was appointed as Commissioner of the Fair Work Commission (FWC) in 2012.
