During 25 years of proud public service, Mark Vassallo has been lucky enough to contribute over 20 years to intelligence in its varying guises. From criminal intelligence support to policing with strategic headquarters and specialist squads. To a variety of national security positions in analysis, production, capability development, and enabling functions at the Australian Signals Directorate, Australian Geospatial-Intelligence Organisation and Office of National Intelligence.
Mark’s active participation in the First Principles Review of Defence and The Independent Intelligence Review ignited a passion for shaping and implementing reform. This heralded Mark’s deepening interest and expertise in communications, culture, diversity and inclusion, learning and development and governance – the powerful levers to realising meaningful and persistent change.
Outside the confines of the office, Mark enjoys reconnecting with Country, exploring on foot (trail running and hiking) and on two wheels (gravel and mountain biking).
