Biography

Siobhán (pronounced ‘shiv-awn’) McHale is the Executive General Manager of People, Culture & Change (HR) at DuluxGroup, an international paints company based in Melbourne, Australia. She is the author of ‘The Insider’s Guide to Culture Change: Creating a Workplace that Delivers, Grows and Adapts’.  

Siobhán is a business transformer with a track record of creating better workplaces and has worked across four continents, helping leaders to create more agile and productive teams. She speaks from an ‘insider’ perspective, having been the executive in charge of business transformation in a series of multinational organisations. One of these was a radical seven-year change initiative at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited (ANZ) that transformed it from the lowest-performing bank in the country into one of the highest-performing and most admired banks in the world.   

Professor John Kotter used Siobhán’s work as a case study at Harvard Business to teach MBA students about managing change. She is passionate about creating better workplaces and teaching people how to make change happen.   

Siobhán was selected by Thinkers50 (the premier global ranking agency for management thinkers) as someone whose ‘ideas will shape the world’, is a Top Voice in LinkedIn, and was named in the Top 30 ‘Global Gurus’ for Organisational Culture.  

Siobhán has a Master of Science (Occupational Psychology) and Double Honours in Bachelor of Arts (Applied Psychology).
