Biography

Robert Wood (Bob) is a Professor of Behavioural Decision Theory in the Economics Department, Macquarie University Business School. Former roles include Distinguished Professor and Director of the UTS Futures Academy, UTS; Director of the Centre for Ethical Leadership, and Director of the Accelerated Learning Laboratory, AGSM and MBS; Deputy Vice Chancellor UWA. He is an internationally recognised scholar, known for his work on personal adaptivity, and adaptive leadership. His research has won several awards, including, with Shayne Gary, the prestigious Jay Forester Award (2016), for best publication in System Dynamics over the previous 5 years.  

Bob is an elected Fellow of several academies, including ASSA, IAAP, APA and ANZAM. He has consulted to the senior leadership of many major global and Australian organisations and is an experienced executive coach. Bob completed his PhD at the University of Washington and post-doctoral studies at Stanford University. He serves or has served on several industry, government and not-for-profit advisory groups and boards.
