Biography

Shruti is now head of HR at Unilever Australia and New Zealand, a role she assumed in early 2023 having been with Unilever for eight years.  

With 18+ years of HR experience, in both developing and developed markets, and across a variety of roles including Learning, Talent Management, Wellbeing, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), HR Business partnering and Organisation Transformation, Shruti loves partnering with teams to help drive their business and people agenda.  

Her deep passion, though, lies in redefining work and helping organisations build a diverse and inclusive culture where everyone belongs. This is deeply rooted in her purpose to “create belonging for myself and others” by living her values of positivity, curiosity, and connection. Some of Shruti’s key achievements at Unilever include designing and implementing the company’s Disability Inclusion agenda, spearheading progressive policy changes like Gender Affirmation leave, leave for pregnancy loss and fertility treatments, while also experimenting with new working models like a 4-day work week and embedding Agile as a way of working.   

On a personal front, Shruti gets her energy from spending time with her husband and daughter, reading, doing yoga, and staying connected with friends and family around the world.
