Dr Sean Gallagher
Biography
Dr. Sean Gallagher is an internationally recognised expert on the future of work. Using research-informed analysis, he works with business and government across all sectors to help create value through unleashing the potential of people.
Sean’s work supports improved complex problem solving, new idea generation, and enhanced growth and impact by helping leaders understand the impact disruptive change has on work and how it is transforming the workforce and workplaces. Based on national surveys of Australian workers, the twin reports ‘Peak Human Potential’ (2019) and ‘Peak Human Workplace’ (2021), set out how organisations can create value in the digital economy through reimagining work as a pathway to innovation.
Sean is a chief investigator of the ARC Australian Cobotics Centre, on the Tech Council of Australia’s Digital Workforce Strategy Working Group, and a member of AHRI’s Future of Work Advisory Panel.
His research on the future of work has been widely endorsed including by APEC, Engineers Australia, the Taiwanese Workforce Development Agency, and the Victorian government, and helps shape policy outcomes, including the Victorian Government Inquiry into the On-Demand Economy. Sean holds a PhD in chemistry.
