Biography

With 20 years’ experience as an HR professional across social and community health, hospitals, education, hospitality and legal, Clare Murphy is Executive Director – Operations Enablement at EACH, a large, complex community health organisation with 2000 staff and volunteers. A for-purpose organisation, EACH has 140 different programs across 50 sites on Australia’s eastern seaboard and operates across mental health, NDIS, aged care, primary health, youth, and children to help improve lives and strengthen communities.  

Clare believes that prioritising community health is essential given the substantial value it provides the healthcare system and, as a strategic and results-driven HR professional, is responsible for transforming EACH’s HR function to deliver a contemporary HR strategy to enable it to deliver on its organisational strategic plan. Clare’s portfolio at EACH encompasses Finance, IT, HR, Quality and Risk, Infrastructure and Capital Projects, and its National Access and Intake Service.  

In 2022, EACH was awarded the Innovation and Creativity Award at the 2022 AHRI Awards and Clare, herself, received the 2016 AHRI Dave Ulrich HR Leader of the Year Award and the AHRI medal for service to the industry. She is a Fellow and Certified Practitioner of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) and holds a Masters of HR Management.
