Workplace Support for people in domestic violence situations

February 19 @ 5:15 PM - 7:00 PM AWST

WA NFP Network

This presentation explores the experience of Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) for people with disability, focusing on recognising the signs of violence, how to respond effectively, and referral pathways available.

It provides critical insights for professionals to improve their capacity to support people with disability who experience violence, and learnings from this presentation can be applied universally to colleagues with or without disability, as well as to your friends and family.

Target Audience

HR Practitioners of all career levels and roles will benefit from attending this forum.

Speaker: Josie Fullerton

Josie Fullerton is the Project Lead for the Modified Service Delivery team at the Patricia Giles Centre for Non-Violence, an FDV service in the northern corridor of Perth, WA.

With extensive experience in the disability sector, including work within the NDIS, Josie delivers capacity development training and mentoring to workers within the FDV and Disability sector, to ensure workers have the tools and resources to support a person with disability experiencing FDV.

The Modified Service Delivery team has trained over 600 staff across both sectors, improving service delivery to be accessible, inclusive, and responsive.
