National Convention & Exhibition: Ignite – Cultural Encounter
August 18 @ 9:15 AM - 2:30 PM AEST
$390.00
Discover Sydney’s cultural essence with an immersive tour that celebrates both the natural beauty of Bondi and the rich artistic heritage of Australia’s First Nations.
Travel by coach from ICC Sydney to Bondi Beach, where you’ll be welcomed by Walangari Karntawarra, a respected Aboriginal Elder, educator, artist and Bondi local. The experience begins with a didgeridoo ceremony, followed by a 1.5-hour gentle downhill walk from North Bondi to the Pavilion. Equipped with personal headsets, you’ll hear Walangari’s live storytelling as he shares the rich cultural history of Bondi, including ancient rock carvings, traditional bush foods, and the Dreaming stories of the area.
Next, transfer by coach to the Sydney Opera House for a two-course Indigenous-inspired lunch at Midden by Mark Olive. Enjoy contemporary dishes infused with native Australian ingredients while overlooking the breathtaking Sydney Harbour. Mark Olive, a celebrated Indigenous chef, brings the flavours of First Nations culture to life with a menu that highlights bush spices, native fruits, and sustainably sourced seafood and meats.
After lunch, board a water taxi for a scenic cruise around Sydney Harbour, sailing past iconic landmarks like the Sydney Opera House and Circular Quay, and gliding under the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Take in spectacular city views before arriving back at ICC Sydney, concluding your unforgettable cultural journey.
