Speaker: Sapphire Parsons, Senior Associate, Macpherson Kelley
Sapphire Parsons is a multi-award-winning Senior Lawyer in the Employment, Safety & Migration Team at Macpherson Kelley. She’s also a woman of colour, and a passionate advocate for creating inclusive workplaces, with a specific focus on psychological safety and respect at work.

Within the legal profession, Sapphire has lent her voice to several publications via Lawyers Weekly and the Law Institute of Victoria.

As a survivor of gendered violence, she is also an Ambassador for She Inspires Me Australia, working with Michelle Boundy, a key advocate of Sydney’s “One Punch Kills” campaign, advocating for safety for women at home, at work, and in the community.

In recognition for her work to advance psychological safety and respect at work, in 2023, Sapphire was the Winner of the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Award for Workplace Health & Safety.

In 2022, she was the Winner of the Rising Star of the Year Award and was a Finalist for the Innovator of the Year (Individual) Award at the 2022 Lawyers Weekly Women in Law Awards. She was also a Finalist in the 2022 Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards for Workplace, Health & Safety.

Speaker: James Callender, Business Solutions Director and Mental Health Advocate, Workplace Options
James has over 12 years experience in health and financial services, having delivered meaningful outcomes to many organisations from multi-nationals, governments and charities, to mum and dads.

James is passionate about positively influencing the mental health narrative where and how he can, one story at a time. He has dedicated himself to establishing leading partnerships that value holistic wellbeing ecosystems by prioritising emotional, physical, and practical wellness to enrich the lives of employees and communities alike.

Speaker: Jess Beatson, General Manager ANZ, International SOS
With a background in emergency services and emergency management, Jessica has spent more than a decade assisting companies to fulfil their duty of care obligations to their employees and the communities in which they operate.

Specialising in the areas of employee wellbeing and people risk mitigation, Jessica has worked across global emerging markets, driving risk mitigation practices within her clients businesses’ from Melbourne to Mongolia.

As General Manager for the ANZ region with International SOS, Jessica is passionate about helping organisations move towards more sustainable, people focused business practices as their operations rapidly expand into new regions.
