The ACT AHRI Council are excited to bring you this hybrid event aimed at exploring the world of psychometrics and online assessments. Featuring a wonderful panel of expert users and solution providers, we will dive into questions such as:
  • What differentiates a psychometric tool from an online assessment
  • What advancements in technology are on the horizon
  • AI and assessments – can they be trusted
  • Skills-based hiring – how can online tools support
  • How can I use the data to make a range of people-based decisions

We are delighted to announce that this will be a hybrid event Our good friends at Scyne Advisory will be hosting our in-person panel and local attendees, with the event also live-streamed via Zoom to a national audience.

Our panel for this event will feature:

  • Omer Molad – co-founder and CEO of Vervoe
  • Tom Herde – APAC CEO for Saville Assessments
  • Julie Clifton – a/g Assistant Secretary Recruitment, Diversity and Learning at Australian Government
  • Beth Barratt-Browne – Regional People Leader, NSW, ACT & PNG at GHD

The panel will be moderated by Andrew Marshall, certified in the use of psychometrics and current consultant in the Strategic Recruitment space.

Speaker: Omer Molad – co-founder and CEO of Vervoe
Prior to founding Vervoe, an AI-powered skills assessment platform, Omer had a long career in the banking sector, most recently leading a corporate finance team at NAB. Omer also spent time in the humanitarian sector with Red Cross and served as an officer in the military.
Vervoe evaluates job candidates by giving them an opportunity to do job-specific tasks that showcase their most relevant skills, and their Australian customers include Australia Post, The Australian Taxation Office, RMIT University, Bank of Queensland, Tennis Australia, Services Australia and Team Global Express.

Speaker: Julie Clifton – a/g Assistant Secretary Recruitment, Diversity and Learning at Australian Government
Julie has extensive experience shaping, driving and leading people-centred, organisational transformation and change across multiple federal government agencies. To achieve the desired outcomes Julie engages at all levels and guides and coaches leaders and teams to navigate the transformation journey. Julie is an innovator who holds a passion for roles where she can utilise her strengths in collaboration and inclusive leadership to improve organisational performance.
Julie brings unique experience in navigating the challenges of implementing a psychometric and online assessment approach to recruitment in a large Government agency.

Speaker: Beth Barratt-Browne – Regional People Leader, NSW, ACT & PNG at GHD
Beth is passionate about small business partnerships and leveraging global reach for local benefit. She is a mum to a genius 14 year old (learning daily that you definitely get less smart with more life experience 😉. Throughout her career, Beth has been driven to create the perfect marriage between individual employee drivers and organisational success.
Beth has experience in supporting a large number of public and private organisations as implement best practice psychometric solutions across both talent acquisition and talent management, both as a consultant and internal CHRO. Beth has a deep understanding of how to use the data to link a range of people strategies and achieve organisational outcomes.
