This micro-credential provides HR professionals with a deep understanding of managing an organisation’s most valuable asset – its people. This micro-credential covers the entire talent management lifecycle, from talent acquisition and capability development to performance management, succession planning, and the creation of robust engagement and retention strategies.
Key Learning Outcomes
Participants will explore:

Talent Acquisition: Understand processes and best practices for identifying, attracting, recruiting and onboarding talent.

Capability: Learn how to undertake training needs analysis, align capability plans to workforce planning and enhance organisational capability through strategically aligned training and development programs.

Performance Management: Implement effective performance management systems that align employee activities with organisational goals, encourage continuous improvement, and facilitate meaningful feedback.

Reward and Recognition: Understand approaches to reward and compensation systems for driving motivation and performance.

Succession Planning: Explore and apply frameworks for identifying critical roles and key succession risks, and developing succession plans to manage succession risks.

Engagement and Retention: Understand drivers and measures of engagement and retention as well as best practices to promote employee satisfaction and commitment.

Influence and Impact: Focus on personal branding, emotional intelligence, ethical decision-making, personal resilience, and techniques for building credibility and confidence.

Coaching and Empowering: Apply stakeholder analysis tools, coaching frameworks and coaching techniques to empower people to respond effectively to challenging situations.

Employee Relations: Understand the role of HR in supporting both the organisation’s goals and employee satisfaction and learn best practices for crafting policies that align with legislation and drive desired outcomes.
Course Delivery
With a focus on practical application, each session within the virtual workshop will have opportunities to use breakout rooms, with case studies and activities to complete collaboratively.
Participants must come prepared to engage with the topics, discuss the learning material and share their experiences with peers and the facilitator. Participants are encouraged to ask questions, try new ideas and share their knowledge. This event promotes open candid discussions in a trusted environment.
