Health, Safety and Wellbeing
This micro-credential investigates the critical facets of creating and maintaining a healthy, safe, and inclusive workplace environment, pivotal for any HR professional. It emphasises the significance of Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), employee wellbeing, psychological safety, and psychosocial health. 

Key Learning Outcomes
Participants will explore:

 

  • Occupational Health & Safety: Prioritise the creation of a safe and healthy workplace to protect and enhance employee well-being in line with legislation. 

  • Employee Wellbeing: Dive into the essential elements, leading practices, and employer obligations that cultivate a secure and thriving workforce. 

  • Psychological Safety: Foster an environment where team members feel safe to express ideas, ask questions, and voice concerns without fear of reprisal. 

  • Psychosocial Health: Address the interplay between psychological well-being and the social environment to promote holistic health in the workplace. 

Course Delivery

With a focus on practical application, we have curated a range of resources in various formats to suit your unique needs and preferences, and to support your development journey.  

Participants can expect to undertaker between 25-40 hours of study over the 6 weeks, although individual experiences may vary.

  • Core and Supplementary Resources: Core resources provide essential information, while supplementary resources offer additional insights for deeper understanding.

  • Choose Your Own Adventure: Materials are designed for flexibility. Based on confidence and proficiency in each skill and knowledge area, participants can decide how much content to engage with.

  • Knowledge Checks:  There are various reflection exercises to further apply learning and deepen capability.

  • Case Study: Tasks have been provided for to put learning into practice and enhance participant overall skill development in the capability areas and assist with assessment readiness.
