The nature of work and how it is organised has been disrupted and continues to be with an onslaught of new mandates on leaders and organisations to be fair, just, inclusive and equitable.
Business is seen as a force for good – The Edelman Trust Barometer reports that trust in NGOs, businesses, media and governments continues to slide in Australia, with businesses the only institution seen as being ethical and competent. People are also expecting businesses in Australia to do more on addressing societal issues such as economic inequality, reskilling, healthcare access, energy shortages, trustworthy information and climate change. CEOs are most expected to act on areas that impact how employees are treated, discrimination, immigration, climate change and income equality, with optimal results most likely when businesses work in partnership with the government.
We will hear from two leaders about how they have put care for their teams front and foremost in the face of multiple, competing challenges from their stakeholders to build trust and create positive experiences for their employees and clients.
