A “Fireside Chat” with LTGEN Natasha Fox – ADF Chief of Personnel
October 24 @ 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM AEDT
Free - $20.00Lieutenant General Natasha Fox AO CSC is the inaugural Chief of Personnel for the Australian Defence Force. Appointed to this new role in June 2023, LTGEN Fox became the first female Australian military officer to be promoted to a 3-star role following the implementation of one of the key recommendations of the Defence Strategic Review. Prior to this appointment, LTGEN Fox was the first female appointed as a deputy service chief holding the role of Deputy Chief of Army from 2022 to 2023.
The Defence Strategic Review recommended all ADF personnel management be centralised into a single integrated system incorporating the five domains (Sea, Land, Air, Cyber and Space). Reporting to the Chief of the Defence Force, LTGEN Fox has direct accountability for the day-to-day personnel effort from attraction and recruitment through ADF training, personnel management, career management and right through to transition. The distinct aim of the CPERS function is to increase the effectiveness, efficiency and cohesiveness of personnel management to achieve a more integrated Australian Defence Force.
Come along on Thursday 24 October at the end of your work day to hear from the person who holds Australia’s largest and most complex HR job. Hear from LTGEN Fox as she describes her career from when she joined ADFA in 1988 and the challenges she faced and dealt with in a predominately male environment. Following her appointment as the first 3-star, another 2 women have been appointed to this rank, LTGEN Michelle McGuinness CSC as the National Cyber Coordinator and recently LTGEN Susan Coyle AO CSC DSM as Chief of Joint Capabilities.
This event will start with an address from LTGEN Fox, and then a Q&A session allowing attendees to discuss further her career, role and desired outcomes from this critically important role.
All ACT based AHRI members with an interest in how the entire HR function is brought to bear to bring about change and personnel efficiency in a large and complex organisation.
