While it is recognised that a degree of conflict is necessary for organisations to undergo successful transformation, HR professionals are acutely aware of the significant costs incurred when conflict is not addressed effectively. Effective conflict management is regarded as a core capability for both HR professionals and line managers. It’s in an ever changing environment that HR professionals and managers are required to design and implement cultural and change strategies to support the development of the workplace.
This course explores the importance of coaching managers to resolve team-based and interpersonal conflict as well as using mediation and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedures.
This course would suit human resource professionals and managers seeking to increase their skills and knowledge to be able to manage conflict effectively in their workplace.
Following the training participants will be able to:
- Identify the nature, causes and impact of workplace conflict
- Identify the various strategies for managing workplace conflict at an organisational, team and interpersonal level
- Define the industrial relations legislation regarding dispute resolution processes
- Enhance their skills in mediation and managing interpersonal and workplace conflict.
Course format is inclusive of group discovery, discussion and skills practice.
