Jay Epps, Senior Manager WHS, QBE
Jay manages the health, safety and wellbeing for QBE across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Nations. He brings over 20 years of experience in risk management, predominately in the field of work health and safety (WHS). He is a respected specialist passionate about developing new strategies to keep Australia at the cutting edge of WHS.
He promotes a proactive approach to WHS to drive down injury rates, build a safety culture, and reduce insurance premiums. He knows that an excellent safety record translates to the attraction and retention of workers, builds organisational knowledge, increases morale and productivity, and results in an employer of choice.
He is passionate about simplified safety that maximises participation and delivers measurable safety outcomes – turning policy into practice. Assessing and managing psychological risk in cognitive workforces, particularly in remote locations (WFH), remains a key focus, amplified during the pandemic.
