Alicia Eva was recruited from Melbourne University with pick 54 and represented Collingwood in the first-ever NAB AFL Women’s season, playing all seven games. Named Collingwood vice-captain prior to the 2017 season, Eva finished second in the Magpies’ Best and Fairest. After being traded to the GIANTS, Eva was named vice-captain for the 2018 season and had an outstanding year - named in the 2018 All Australian team and winning the Gabrielle Trainor Medal as the GIANTS’ club champion.
Eva is also a highly-regarded coach and has worked in both the club's NEAFL and Academy programs. Eva was named just the second GIANTS AFLW captain ahead of the 2020 season and continues to coach with the Academy.
