Mentoring program

Build your career and networks with AHRI’s mentoring program. There are two intakes per year.

The six-month mentoring program matches experienced HR professionals (mentors) with upcoming HR practitioners, HR students and other professionals wanting to transition into an HR role (mentees). Exclusive to AHRI members 

Applications now open for intake 2 and close 12 May, program dates June to December 2019.

Why become a mentee?

For HR professionals or those new to HR

AHRI student members in their third or final year of study can join intake 1 only of the six-month mentoring program.

The mentoring program is possible thanks to AHRI members who volunteer their time as mentors. In return mentors have the opportunity to :

  • Develop your mentoring and coaching skills
  • Give back to the HR profession
  • Stay in touch with emerging issues relevant to less experienced HR practitioners
  • Reflect on your own career goals and practices
  • Network with other mentors
  • Earn CPD points

Current participants

Regular communications and quarterly newsletters are sent to participants about upcoming events, webinars and information of interest. We also encourage participants to provide feedback throughout the program.
