CPD points for events
AHRI professional members (GAHRI, MAHRI, CAHRI and FAHRI) and Certified Practitioners (CPHR and FCPHR) must complete the required minimum points of CPD every three years to maintain professional membership or certification status.
Recording of CPD points
CPD points gained from completing AHRI events are automatically recorded. AHRI members who register for AHRI events/forums on or before the registration closing date will have their CPD record updated automatically. Records will be updated at the completion of the event/forum once your attendance has been confirmed. Please allow up to 60 days for your record to be updated.
If you are missing CPD hours it may be due to one of the following reasons:
- You registered after the registration closing date:
It is the responsibility of AHRI members who register after the registration closing date to update their own CPD record manually. Visit the CPD page for details.
- You did not attend/you attended in place of another member:
AHRI members who have registered for an AHRI event/forum but are unable to attend are responsible for notifying AHRI of non-attendance/substitution. Email email@example.com.
- You registered online as a non-member:
Members who have registered online as a non-member will need to update their CPD record manually.
CPD Recording Tool
AHRI's CPD online planning and recording tool is located within your member profile. Using this tool you can keep track of your professional development activities, and the points gained for completion of these activities. For a complete list of eligible CPD learning activity types, please review the CPD Guide.
Review of CPD points
A random sample of AHRI professional and all Certified Practitioners will be audited annually for CPD.
In some cases AHRI will request evidence of your CPD activities. When asked to supply evidence of CPD, members will be required to supply records for the past three years. There is considerable flexibility with respect to sources of evidence for CPD. Evidence can include copies of formal qualifications, attendance statements, copies of articles written, presentations given, or payment receipts from conferences. The source must be objective and serviceable.
We encourage you to keep your own file at home with evidence of your completed CPD.
