CPD hours for events

When individuals become professional members of AHRI they undertake to model excellence in the workplace and keep professional skills current. AHRI professional members (MAHRI, CAHRI and FAHRI) are required to complete 90 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) hours every three years to maintain professional membership status.

Recording of CPD hours

CPD hours gained from completing AHRI events are automatically recorded. AHRI members who register for AHRI events/forums on or before the registration closing date will have their CPD record updated automatically. Records will be updated at the completion of the event/forum once your attendance has been confirmed. Please allow up to 4 weeks for your record to be updated.

If you are missing CPD hours it may be due to one of the following reasons:

  • You registered after the registration closing date:
It is the responsibility of AHRI members who register after the registration closing date to update their own CPD record manually. Visit the CPD page for details.
  • You did not attend/you attended in place of another member:
AHRI members who have registered for an AHRI event/forum but are unable to attend are responsible for notifying AHRI of non-attendance/substitution. Email registrations@ahri.com.au.
  • You registered online as a non-member:
Members who have registered online as a non-member will need to update their CPD record manually.

CPD Recording Tool

AHRI's CPD online planning and recording tool is located within your member profile. Using this tool you can keep track of your professional development activities, and the hours gained for completion of these activities. For a complete list of eligible CPD learning activity types, please review the CPD requirement guidelines.

Review of CPD hours

Every six months AHRI will commence a review of the CPD hours recorded by a random sample of all members holding the post-nominal of MAHRI (Member), CAHRI (Certified Professional) and FAHRI (Fellow). Members with these post-nominals are required to participate in 90 hours of CPD activities over a three-year period to maintain AHRI professional recognition status. Only a random selection of members who have been a professional member for a minimum of three years will be subjected to the reviews. Those selected to participate in a review will be contacted by AHRI in writing.
