Events, conferences, and networking activities are a vital part of ongoing professional development. They can motivate us, ignite new ideas and open up a range of opportunities for personal and professional growth.
AHRI is always looking at ways to deliver professional development events that engage and inspire its members and guests.
AHRI events feature speakers that present their research, thinking and hands-on experience in all areas of HR and business. From practical seminars delivered locally on a niche topic area, to our world-class National Convention that brings together international thought-leaders from around Australia and across the world, our events always deliver something new.
Submit a proposal
AHRI would like to hear from both members and non-members with papers and presentations that may be delivered at a range of events.
Those interested in submitting a proposal should read the guidelines for proposals, which defines the AHRI-preferred format. Submissions not in the AHRI-preferred format may not be assessed.
When AHRI receives submissions, whether intended for conferences or for other types of events, they are assessed to identify which area of AHRI professional development or education they reinforce.
Relevant submissions are then forwarded to the appropriate interest group committee, state council or manager for consideration.
An unknown speaker with a promising proposal may be given a run at smaller event as a trial run before being selected for a conference, although this is not always the case.
Presentations to be given at most AHRI events should be new presentations, AHRI does not generally run repeats of sessions previously given at other organisations' conferences in Australia.
