Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the recognition of skills and knowledge gained through life and work experience and through non-accredited training.
Units eligible for skills recognition:
- Unit 1: The strategic HR professional
- Unit 2: The HR organisational environment
- Unit 3: Workforce design, development and performance
The capstone unit (Unit 4) is not available for skills recognition. Candidates who successfully receive skills recognition for Units 1, 2 and 3 will be eligible to enrol directly into Unit 4 Capstone: Applied project in organisational capability.
Who can apply for RPL?
To undertake an RPL assessment, you will need to be an AHRI professional member and have 6+ years of recent experience in an HR generalist role.
What is an HR generalist?
HR generalists are required to have broad knowledge of HR and people matters, and be able to turn their hand to different aspects of HR from planning to recruitment, performance management to termination, reporting to evaluation.
