Why employ a Certified HR Practitioner?

Employing a Certified HR Practitioner means that as an employer you have certainty on how your HR business partner can benefit your business.

HR practitioners are only awarded certification status once they have completed one of four certification pathways, demonstrating that they have the skills, knowledge and behaviours as set by the National Certification Council.

Being certified as an HR professional means that they have:

  • Achieved a cognitive mastery of globally benchmarked HR knowledge and skills;
  • Demonstrated the capability to apply these knowledge and skills in your business; and
  • Made a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).

Post-nominals of Certified HR Practitioners

The National Certification Councill oversees the HR standards, administration and credentialing of eligible candidates seeking HR certification. Certified HR Practitioners who have successfully completed a certification pathway are awarded one of the following post-nominals:

  • CPHR (Certified Practitioner Human Resources);
  • FCPHR (Fellow Certified Practitioner Human Resources);
  • CAHR (Certified Academic Human Resources);
  • FCAHR (Fellow Certified Academic Human Resources)
