AHRI Network Convenor

In line with AHRI’s strategy, AHRI Forums aim to be highly-valued and sought after professional development activities for AHRI members and guests, attracting HR professionals and people managers in all areas of HR. There are approximately 85 Networks operating Australia-wide which contribute to over 170 Network Forums each year and approximately 200 AHRI events in total.

The role of the Network Convenor is to drive and facilitate AHRI Network Forums, encourage membership and represent AHRI when interacting with members at Network Forums. The Convenor will attend each Forum and will have overall responsibility for managing the Forum onsite – registering delegates, noting no-shows, greeting the speaker(s), introducing the session and facilitating Q&A.

Time commitment

It is recommended that each network run a minimum of 3-4 free Forums per year to maintain interest in the network and engage the audience.

How to apply

There is a formal process for appointing a new or replacement Convenor; the interested member is required to express their interest in writing, including their resume. This will be sent to the local council for consideration. If approved a formal induction process will follow with ongoing support supplied by the local council and the relevant AHRI Events Coordinator.
