Since its inception, Justitia has adopted an alternative law firm model based on the principle that flexible work practices should be a presumption rather than an exception. The initiative was predominantly motivated by the observation that women lawyers working under traditional law firm structures were being held back from realising their full potential and many lawyers lacked a work-life balance. A presumptive flexible work model was not only the key to fostering the talent of women lawyers and supporting a healthier workplace, it has become the foundation on which an innovative and highly successful law firm has grown.
